3 Kings Day

and the day came...

We all gathered in LS (Los Santos) and started opening presents left by our shoes.
The tradition in Spain is to leave the shoes the night before by the fireplace and they will be filled with presents by the 3 Kings.
Yoel (Davy and Sarah´s cousin) got everything related with CARS, the movie: a truck, Rayo McQueen the talking car, a racetrack....
Also, a "pandereta", what Sarah is holding, was very much appreciated. They each got one.

The Parade

After the party we went to watch the Parade. We enjoyed seeing the different "carrozas" whose occupants would throw us candy.

The day before 3 Kings

You all know that in Spain we wait to January 6th to have the 3 Kings deliver the presents for the kids. The 3 Kings, whose names are Melchor, Gaspar and Baltazar (the black one) come riding on camels.

The day before,the 5th, we went to Sarah and Davy´s school where the 3 Kings were ready to give them a present. Sarah got very scared when the black King attempted to put her on his lap, she ran away and never returned to the Kings site. She sat down as far as she could with a friend and was eating candy the whole time.

Davy showed more bravery and stood in front of them for a long time. Only when another King put him on his lap for a picture he complained and ran.

Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus have come to town

Well I just had the nicest surprise I went to pick up two babies and i returned with two Santas!!!

See Davy and Sarah are in the same class. Davy, the king gave everyone a Christmas ball and a piece of chocolate candy.

Celebration of Davy´s birthday at his school

Yesterday they celebrated Davy´s birthday in his class. He wore a crown made by the teacher for the occassion. Also each kid received a gift (it is the new fashion here, parents buy for all)that consisted of a Christmas ball and a piece of chocolate candy.
Davy blew the candle and Sarah was there too. After the celebration she quickly grabbed his crown and wore it ever since like a Princess.
